How we work
A clear onboarding process that gets trained officers to your site quickly, without cutting corners.
We visit your site, walk the entry points and blind spots, and learn how your operation runs day to day.
You receive a written plan and itemised quote: guard posts, shift hours, patrol frequency and response steps.
Licensed, uniformed officers are briefed on your site orders and on duty, typically within 24–72 hours.
Daily activity and incident reports, with regular check-ins to adjust coverage as your needs change.
Client results
“We were dealing with a lot of theft at our construction sites, which was causing delays and extra costs. Equity Security offered their remote monitoring service, and it made a difference right away. Their team noticed suspicious behaviour after work hours and helped catch intruders. Since we started working with them theft has dropped by 70%, and we feel much safer knowing they watch our sites around the clock.”

“We chose Equity Security’s guards for our corporate office and they have been outstanding. Their officers are always on time, well trained and very observant. We have noticed a real improvement in how secure our building is, and our staff feel far safer. Their skill in handling problems calmly has been especially impressive.”

“Installing Equity Security’s alarm system was one of the smartest moves we made. Last month the alarm triggered late at night because someone tried to break in, and within minutes their team had alerted police. Their quick action stopped a significant loss. The system is simple to use and the sense of security it gives us is invaluable.”

Questions
The things clients ask us most often. If your question is not here, our team will answer it directly.
Yes. Every officer we deploy holds a current Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act licence and has completed Alberta Basic Security Training before their first shift. We verify licence status continuously and can supply licence numbers for any officer assigned to your site.
For most locations in Calgary and Edmonton we can place officers on site within 24 hours, and we routinely mobilise emergency fire watch and post-incident cover the same day. Remote camps and northern sites typically require 48–72 hours for travel and accommodation.
Our core coverage is Alberta and British Columbia, with permanent offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Hinton, St. Catharines and Yellowknife. Through our partner network we also support projects in the United States, United Kingdom, Dubai and Africa.
Yes. Our monitoring operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Verified alarm and video events are actioned immediately — we contact your nominated key holders and dispatch police or a mobile response unit as your response plan dictates.
That combination is what we do best. Remote video surveillance handles wide-area coverage and out-of-hours detection, while officers provide the physical response and presence that technology alone cannot. Most clients find the blended model gives better coverage at a lower total cost than guarding alone.
Guarding is quoted at an hourly rate per officer based on site risk, shift pattern and required certifications. Electronic security is quoted as a fixed installation cost plus a monthly monitoring fee. Every quotation is itemised, with no long lock-in required.
